Vegas Infinite is a free-to-play virtual casino game developed by Lucky VR and published by PokerStars. It offers an immersive multiplayer experience across various platforms, including VR headsets (Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2), PC (Steam), and mobile devices. Players can engage in classic casino games such as poker, blackjack, roulette, craps, and slots, all within a vibrant, interactive environment.

Challenges:

Initially I was hired to spearhead the design and adaptation of Vegas Infinite to successfully enter the competitive mobile marketplace, driving cross-platform accessibility and engagement.

While adapting Vegas Infinite’s gameplay to a mobile-centric, free-to-play model, I enabled accessibility and engagement across all platforms. A major challenge was transforming the original single-platform VR experience into a seamless multi-platform metaverse casino that worked smoothly on VR, PC, and mobile devices. By designing intuitive systems and balancing gameplay for mobile users, I helped broaden the game’s reach and improve player retention across all platforms.

Outcome:

The mobile-centric redesign boosted player engagement and retention, while the integrated metaverse experience enhanced cross-platform cohesion, positioning the game for sustained growth in the free-to-play market.

Additional Contributions:

While already a F2P model in VR, the game lacked certain features to make the free-to-play model enticing as a metaverse platform. I lead the design to implement key features focused in enhancing player retention and engagement, including:

• Experience (XP) and Progression Systems: Targeted 7-day retention and long-term engagement, integrating advanced quest mechanics with BattlePass-style systems to cater to varied playstyles.
• Loyalty Program: Developed and balanced a progression system informed by ARPU metrics, optimizing tier leveling to maximize engagement across the player base.
• Subscription Optimization: Streamlined item offerings and improved user experience, increasing engagement with subscription assets by over 20%.
